IMR 3031
A friend of mine gave me some 3031 its in the old metal can . When i say old i mean old price tag on it 5.95 but it still burns My question is it has rust in it do you think this powder should be used or not ?? my problem is if one would try to weight it how could it weight out right?/ and shooting rust out of a gun dont seem like a good thing to do so use or not to use is the question i just hate throwing powder away.

Big flakes or small particles of rust? If big flakes...you could would pick out the flakes and transfer the powder to a new container.
But then again....rust inside the can would mean moisture was inside the can. it might very well be a good fertilizer now instead of a good gun powder..

Makes great fertilizer ! The rust is caused by the powder breaking down to it's basic components one of which is nitric acid .
