30-06 round ?
I gotta weird 30-06 round a guy from work gave it to me he said he found it and had never seen nothing like it so he gave it to me to do some research i have never seen anything like it either except in the 7.62 nagant the bullet is pushed down passed the case neck it appears to be factory i got some pics i just wanted to know if yall have ever seen a 30-06 like this my guess is someone was playing with a hammer and knocked it down in there but the nose of the bullet doesnt appear to be damaged any any way so i dont know hope yall can help!
note the bullet is below the neck not even im not sure how one could even do that without a punch or something!

Is the neck the right size .307? Maybe the brass was not resized and the neck is to big

im not 100% sure it is factory but it appears to be it doesnt look like its been resized or even chambered there are not scratches or anything and it doesnt look like its been trimed or anything i can usally tell a reload but not always!
and reload you cant really tell from the pick but it is not a round ball it is a copper jacketed bullet!

Re: 30-06 round ?
If that is the only one, I wonder if someone tried to make some handloads, got that one seated a bit TOO low and just tossed it not knowing what to do with it?? One heck of a compress load if they did...

Re: 30-06 round ?
I have seen yrs back people leaving factory loaded ammo around but they had pulled bullets and replace the rifle powder with pistol. I had found these before but just pulled them apart just to see what was going on. and never fire any found loaded bullets in your gun.nothing is free.
