Boyds Stock Empty Boyds Stock

Post by fletch_medic Wed Jan 11, 2012 5:57 pm

I am thinking of buying a Boyds' stock for my Marlin XS7. I was just curious if anyone had anything good or bad to say about Boyds gun stocks.

Iam looking at their Ross RVT for my Savage HMR .17 The are very good looking stocks. None in stock, so it'll take 3-4 weeks to get one. Sad

Awesome. I guess I will order a stock today. Thanks for the input. Now I just need help deciding which one. I'm not big on the thumb holes, so it is between the classic and the prairie hunter.

I have one Boyds stock on my Mex Mauser 98 .25-06 AI. It needed a little fitting and the inletting was not quite right.

I was not worried too much about fitting since I pillar and glass bedded the action. I had to remove a bit of wood but I learned a few things. This was the first rifle that I glass bedded myself.
