I think this might be the next low cost scope I purchase. Got to the site and play the demo for a demonstration on the new accu-range system.

That is real similar to what the old Redfield scopes used in the early 70's (I'm guessing) I believe it was called accutrace or accutrack.
It had 2 horizontal lines that you put the chest of a deer size game in, and turned the power up till it would fill the lines, then you read the yardage at the bottom and turned the top dial according. They worked well and were way ahead of there time. Dad still has one and uses it on his deer rifle, a 98 mauser in 8mm.
