dumb bullet question!
i gotta question on some .224 bullets i found with things the way they are its getting hard to find reloading supplys well i found some sierra matchking 69 gr hps it says 7"-10" twist bbls only! does that mean 1:7-1:10 twist barrels or 7-10 inch in lenght only? im a bit confused mine is a 16" 1:9 twist will these be ok?? also
i found some 40 grain nosler bullets how bad will they group with a 1:9 twist? thanks for any help! oh and these are for a 223 rem

they are talking about the twist. Those heavy long bullets need a fast twist to stabilize them.

ok thats what i thought but wasnt sure!! i was doing some research and my gun recomends the heavy stuff i may go ahead and get a couple boxes and see how they do!

I use 69gr SMK's in both my 16" and 20" 1:9's with great results.

my girlfriends CZ is a 1:9 twist and stabilizes the Nosler 69 grain bullets with no problems.
