[solved]10/22 mag jammed
I took the girl out "coyote" hunting today and her brand new 10/22 mag after about 70 rounds jammed while loading it I got 4 rounds in the mag and it jammed. So I see this as all of your faults and expect you to fix it

Re: [solved]10/22 mag jammed
My son has always shot the Fedral 36 Grn.in hollow point. These are the
economy 500 box specials from walmart. He has never experianced this
kind of problem. His 10-22 came from a pawn shot. So it is I am sure a lot
older than yours. What kind of ammo are you feeding it?

Good cci ammo $9 per 100, I have been having cycling problems with the 550 round boxes lately so I stepped up to a better ammo. But this problem happened while loading not firing

Re: [solved]10/22 mag jammed
easy enough fix
If there debris in the mag? if yes clean it and recheck. No keep reading
does the lifter come all the way to the top and have pressure behind it? No, the spring is broke, replace and retest. yes keep reading
did you try different ammo. Yes, did it work, no problem its out of spec ammo. No, try different ammo. Did it work? yes, good deal. No keep reading.

Was it a Ruger 10 round mag or one of those after-market 50 round mags?

Re: [solved]10/22 mag jammed
You're saying that you can only get 4 rounds into the mag and then it binds so you can't get any more into it? With the mag empty, see if the follower pushes all the way down smoothly. If not, it may have (as algunjunkie said) debris below the follower, or the sides of the mag could be just a little tight on the follower in which case a little touch up with some emery cloth may do the trick.

Thanks for the video Bones, it still feels " weak" I turned it 8 notches like he said and it works ok I'll take it out and shoot it and see if it jams again. Thanks everyone
