Sorting my 223 brass
I spent a good deal of time sorting some 223 brass by headstamp last night.
After sorted, I send them through the initial tumble to clean the cases and then bag and tag them. My wife picked me up some stackable plastic containers(shoebox size) with lids and labeled all of them for me. One is labeled "clean brass" and another is labeled "processed brass"...2 containers for each caliber. If it hasn't been cleaned yet, I still have them separated, bagged and in my old coffee containers.
Normally I just use good, newer LC brass, Hornady,Black hills and winchester brass.
The PSD (PMC's 5.56) brass I have looks promising...cleaned up real nice and once resized, trimmed and de-crimped ...they all weigh out to almost identical weights.
I haven't checked to see if the PMC 223 is the same.
I also have a decent collection of RP, IMI,IMG, PPU, S&B, and misc other nato brass I'm thinking of using for making a stockpile of plinking/shtf ammo from.
Once I get all the 223 brass sorted this way...I'll move on to my 45acp,then 9mm &40cal. Everything else will be cakewalk(308,357,38sp,44mag)...since I don't have a bunches of it

Re: Sorting my 223 brass
I have had really good results with PMC 223 brass. Most people dog their brass, but I just think it depends on the batch you get, but any of their newer stuff is top quality.
S&B and IMI I would toss. The S&B is probably Berdan anyways.

The S&B I have is boxer primed....
regardless, I might not ever get to the odd ball stuff. I have enough good brass to last a long while.
I will also be getting more PMC and PSD brass....my friend I built the AR for has a case of each and he has been going through them like water.
I have heard good things about PSD and PMC brass. I'll get some finished up and loaded and try them for myself before I give them any approval.

I have PMC brass from the ammo I bought. My rifle didn't like the ammo but the brass is making sub MOA groups for me. But I believe that is because my rifle don't like 55gr ammo at all.

Yeah, both my Ar and Savage don't like 55gr fmj ammo. The PMC does shoot far better than the Remington UMC though. At least the PMC ammo is bright and shiny clean....UMC look like cheap reloads most of the time and I have quit using them.

I didn't turn up anything useful on a google search.
Even Cartridge Collectors doesn't list anything.

Re: Sorting my 223 brass
Maybe a closer look will provide the answer. The closest think I can find to KORG is RORG.....Which is Royal Ordnance Radway Green. I'll take a double look when I get home....but I'm sure that's what they will be.
I have some Radway Green 9mm brass I purchased from Midway a few years back...but it is stamped RG.
EDIT: yep...they are RORG stamped. The headstamps are so close to the primer pockets the "R's" look a lot like "K's"
