Mounting a scope on a Mossberg 500

I ordered a cantilever rifled barrel for my Mossberg 500. Does anyone here have the same barrel on their shotgun and if so what height scope rings did you use?

go with the lowest rings that are the most comfortable to look through. Shotgun scopes usually don't require high rings due to the smaller objective diameter.....you'd probably be safe with mediums, If I was to guess.

I am going to have to go with high rings. I bought the mediums and the scope is just to short to where the bell and the power selector ring both touch the rail. I did buy a used stock off ebay that you can swap out stock combs. Now I just have to ship in my messed up barrel into Mossberg and get them to replace it.

You must of put something a little bigger on than the old norm as far as scopes go....most shotgun scope in the past were 32mm.

That's a nice looking stock! I hope it is in better shape than the barrel you received.

I am just using a Nikon Prostaff 2-7x32 shotgun scope. The Weaver rings I got from Walmart were mediums but still am going to have to use high's. Yeah I hope that stock is in good shape or it is going back too.
