so had some aluminum round stock laying around and decided to make a muzzle brake for my sks in the bull-pup stock....soooo... took this...
and used my rotary table on my mini mill to get it to here........
and got it to here... might thin it out some depends how it looks on the sks..
will post pic's when it is finally done and on the sks. HTH

Re: SKS Muzzle Brake
I have a tap around somewhere for threading sks muzzle brakes that I ordered. I think it is a 14x1 RH as opposed to the 14x1 LH AK threads.
If you actually plan on putting one on your sks(yugo?) You might want to make it longer so you can have more threaded area. The threads on the Yugo SKS barrel are excessively long...or make a lock nut to take up the extra threads and this will also allow you to time the muzzle brake easier.
Just a thought.

Re: SKS Muzzle Brake
ok so here's a couple of photo's ...one is the compleated sks muzzle brake mounted on the rifle and the other is a muzzel brake that i made a few ago for my Glock-23. will try to get to the range this week and test the sks brake. might make another brake for the sks making it slimmer and instead of using expansion chambers will try using ports. Re: SKS Muzzle Brake
well i was finally able to get out to the range today to test my home made muzzle brake and i have to say that iwas pretty impressed on how well it worked. it looks butt ugly, but keeps the muzzle from rising. me and my girlfrind met sonnypie who is a new member here at a place to shoot and i let him try it out. i also let him shoot my .338/06 bench gun and my .45/70 contender. all in all we had a pretty good time today even though it was cold and over cast.
