Flying with guns
Im going to Alaska this fall on a bear/moose hunt. Does anybody have any experience flying with guns? I have locking gun/bow cases. Has any one brought back game before?
I will check with Alaska airlines before I go, but I'm looking for stories.

They have to be declared when you check in, they have to be unloaded, they have to be separated from ammunition, they have to be in hard cases, and they have to be locked. That is what TSA requires. Each individual airline will probably have their additions to that list.

Generally they say no ammunition unless its hard to find. If your going to Alaska, Alaska Airlines will probably be more lienant on the ammunition rule knowing that people take more obscure calibers.
