Whats your opinion?

Complete 44 caliber die set for type S press including the following:

1) .370 44/45 core making die and punch
1) .429c core seating die w/2 punches (one for inside jacket is a custom punch).
1) .429 P TC L .120 point forming die w/ejector pin (this is a custom PFD with a conical point & a .120 dia. nose).
1) Hollow point punch.
1) Lead nose point forming punch w/hollow point.
1) 6 point Jacket star punch. (‘crimps’ the end of the jacket for better expansion, similar to Hornaday pistol bullets).
Die Set $650.00

Sounds like a bunch of neat tooling....as long as you can make more than $650 worth of bullets with it, it should be worth it in the long run.

A lot of cash up front...not including the press you just picked up. This better be a hobby you really enjoy. Wink

Sounds about the going price but before i bit on it I would call Richard Corbin RCELLC and see what he would charge to make you a set.

Ok I am in the process of purchasing this set of dies. I am getting them at what I consider a large savings over Dave Corbins site. The way I figured it this set would cost between $1000.00 and $1200.00. Of course who can make heads or tails of Corbins site. These dies are suppose to be made by his company.

Now, does anyone here use a set similar to these so I can learn what I am doing? Darn
