Hos any one tried to make a 300 blackout with a mini-14 ...
where should I start ?
and before ya'll ask ... no I don't really like them lil black guns

First of all, do some homework on the perssure differences between the 5.56 and 300acc. Tuning the gas system to reliably operate will be the biggest hurdle.
As far as parts go, I can't imagine you need nothing more than a barrel chambered for 300 ACC. machine the profile, thread and headspace.
I'm not up on how a mini-14 cycles or what is all involved....but I'm sure it will have to be tuned for the lower velocity round.

These guys do a .300 Whisper, as well as other calibers.
You need to either buy one of their converted or buy a Mini-14 and send it to them.
They do not work cheap, but their work is awsome. I have drooled at their Mini-30 in 6.5 Grendel for some time.
