S&W .460

I was at my cuzs house looking at his .460 pistol WOW thats alot of hand gun. He has it in a Dan Wesson SS I like it SHoots 454, 45LC too .Just wanted to know if any one has seen the .460 in a rifle??

Not personally....I'd love to have a levergun in 460 though

My Bushy 450 has about the same ballistics as the 460...but I can't shoot 454 and 45lc out of it.

I think you can get a T/C Encore with a .460 S&W barrel

I just talked to a buddy of mine that has a T/C in 45lc. He made his own 460 by reaming the 45lc chamber out to fit the 460...he can now shoot 454 also.

He said it is easily a 200+ yard deer rifle now

I should add, he did mention that constant use of the 45lc or 454 rounds in a 460 chamber could deteriorate the throat over time. In revolvers, this really isn't an issue since they have a forcing cone that leads into the rifling.

on a side note....now that you have sparked my curiosity. I wonder how hard it would be to convert a Mosin Nagant 7.62x54r or Mauser into a 460? Rebarrel and some bolt work?....hmmm,gonna have to do some investigating.
