they look wicked. is your 35 a lever gun? if so you may want to keep your bullets crimped in the canulure.

If your moving your bullet while crimping, then it is possible your adding too much crimp, which might be the reason for the pressure and breakage. Just something to think about...
I really could not tell you as I am not loading your ammo or seeing how yours is done. Mine, I screw the die in and raise the round till it touches, after that, light pressure is usually enough to place the right amount of crimp..
I could be wrong in your case those. Never loaded 35 Rem...

Ive never personally liked the lee f.C. die. i have a couple of them but honestly i cant get the results that Lee brags about. I just use the roll crimp that my rcbs and hornady dies put on if i am loading for an automatic or lever gun I crimp in the cannelure. i've never tore up a press using the F.C. die but i have buckled a couple cases but then i try my utmost to always set my press up so that it finishes an operation at cam-over i have recently learned that Lee presses dont cam over. to me this is a big big issue as you will never get any kind of consistency with it. there is a company that addressed that problem with a torque wrench handle replacement so you put a constant pressure on your crimping operation. they sell for around 80 bucks. but i dont load that way so i dont see the need for one.
