Curved vs Straight
I am looking at replacing the trigger in my Remington 700 with a new Timney trigger. They show two different styles. One has a straight trigger and one has the standard curved trigger. Has anyone used a straight trigger, and what is the benefit over a standard curved trigger?

I take it you decided not to get that one that Remington put out? Something X, can't remember the name of it now. I think you know what I am talking about LOL

Actually if you were using it for hunting purposes, the straight trigger looks like it would be a whole lot easier to shoot with gloves on. I don't have any experience with straight triggers, but it looks like something I could probably get along with just fine and you would have more room inside the trigger guard. I say go for it and let me know how it goes.

I like the straight one. It looks as if it would change the pressure point of the finger tip just enough to increase leverage and lower the breaking point.

Well I ended up getting the curved trigger since that is all that Cabela's carried. It came set at 3lbs and so far I am impressed with it.

Sometimes it comes down to what is available. As long as you are happy with it....that's all that matters.
