My home made 45 cal swaging dies.
I spent a couple hours with my drill press and dremel tool yesterday. I built a core seating die and a nose forming die with a round nose punch and a hollow point punch. The bullets in the picture were made with my dies. The hollow point weighs 330 grains and the round nose weighs 360 grains. I'm pretty happy with them

Nice work!
Keep it up and you never buy a bullet off the shelf again.

Yes they are/were 260 Remington dies. I no longer have the 260 so I figured why not!

Exactly the same reason why I used my 243 dies in this manner...might as well use them for something right?

They look much like yours...But you took it a step further with nicer top punches. My punches are only designed to knock out the bullet, nothing more.

Sweet!!!! Nice job. Isnt it nice making stuff instead of buying it. Its great that its less expensive than buying it but at the end of the day even if it was a wash Id still try and make my own stuff!

I haven't tried any of them but have been curious about them. Seems like they should be fun to tinker with though.

I'm actually supposed to be receiving my new Lee Classic Cast tomorrow It has a threaded ram with a removable section so I'll be making some new rams/punches out of grade 8 bolts that will screw on to the ram. I'll post pics for ya when I'm done! Did I post pics of the adjustable core molds a made?
