annealing Empty annealing

Anybody ever use a ceramics kiln for annealing?

M daughter likes to do pottery and I do some decorative glass work and we have thought about buying a kilns. This could be another item on the plus side.

the biggest problem with Ceramic kilns is I dont think you will find a pop off at that cool a temp. I certainly could be wrong. Ceramic Kilns get way way hotter than the melting point of brass.

Some of the ones I have seen have adjustable temps on them and the ones I would be considering would have adjustable cool down times. Here again I might just go and get one of those cheap table top bbq grills and a bag of charcoal.
