Caught Big Nasty

Well I got to Texas City Dike around 1:00 PM and didnt get a bite all day. Then around 7-7:30 it started to rain and lightning so I decided to pack it up. while packing up my surf rod fell over because the line when slack. I started to reel it in and this big black drum took off. My 5/0 hook broke right as it we got the fish netted. I finally caught a fish that makes me look a little skinnier!

No didn't have any thing to weigh it. It was 47" long and had to be at least 45lbs.

Make's it hard to go back to fishing in the local streams after you catch a nice fish like that. The one that ruined me for fresh water fishing was a 45# Snook off a boat house on the St Lucie near Jensen Beach Fl.
