Re: Vihtavuori Tin Star competes with Trail Boss
There is a guy in my area that has been using Tin Star for a while now and he swears it's the bee's knees and will not go back to trail boss.
I personally have not tried it.

Can this be used for rifle cartridges? I've been using TB for low speed shots with light bullets on .224 and .204 calibers.

I haven't had any first hand experience with any of the Vhitavouri powders yet but according to the Vhitavouri Reloading Guide that I looked at it gives this description for Tin Star. Not sure I would want to try it in .204 or .223 ..
Tin Star (N32C)
Special powder developed for Cowboy Action Shooters shooting
lead bullets with revolvers and single-action rifles. It has
low bulk density (less free space in the case) and it burns very
clean without residues with a burning rate between N320 and
N330. Reloading data is currently available for .38 Special
and .44 Magnum.
