Glenfield 60
My FIL gave me a old beat up and rusted Glenfield 60. It looked like it was the old truck gun of someone who lived in a damp climate. It was a fun little project and turned out pretty good. The grain of the wood was kind of weird so some of it looks blotchy depending on the direction you look at it.
-Refinished the stock
-stripped the receiver and repainted it
-took barrel and magazine tube down to bare metal and reblued.
-resurfaced bolt and polished.
-replaced missing front sight.

Awesone job RemMan! Does it function as good as it looks?
The model 60's that I have ran across were picky about what brand ammo it likes. Most of them seem to like CCI but will have feed problems with other brands.

No I just pulled it apart and worked on my own. I did shoot a couple CCI standard rounds through it and it functioned fine but I still need to take it to the range. I think one problem with the model 60's is the follower that pushes the round up pushes up on the bottom of the bolt. It does apply a good amount of pressure so I lightly polished mine.
