swage question Empty swage question

Post by frysl Wed Apr 13, 2011 9:12 pm

I just watched the you tube clip on swaging crimped brass, but I'm still not clear on how the rod inside the die should be adjusted. .
The term 'web' is used in the clip, but I dont know what that is. Can someone clesr this up for me?

Thanks,
Steve

Sorry,
It was posted by a person named daywalker I believe, and had the ATG reloading logo. I'll see if I can find it again.

i've seen the video and I also have the primer pocket swage tool. you want to set the center rod until it supports the case as it pushes the case over the swage anvil. you will know when its right.

Man, do I feel like a heel,lol...I had bullets swaging on the brain. Primer pocket swaging didn't even cross my mind.

Web - That portion of a cartridge case between the bottom of the primer pocket and the interior of the case.
