some how i can not add words to the posted photo's in my above post. sooo...
#1 18"x24" metal Buffalo at 420yds.
#2 metal plates at 110-120-200yds.

forgot to post the target. the spitzer bullet is the Lee 500 3R. the other is the Lee 405 HB both are very accurate no matter what powder i put behind them. my econo load for the .45/70 is 13.5 grns. of Unique and will reach out consistantly to the metal Buffalo at 420 yds. target was shot at 50yds. oh, and the split case finally let go after almost 30 yrs. of reloading it. i guess i forgot to aneal this one when i did the last batch.

thanks everyone for the compliments.when i shoot the 500 grainers out to the 420 yrd. metal Buffalo... just about the time that i set the gun down you can hear the bullet hit the metal plate..that's with the 13.5 grain load of Unique...
