3G pistol...what say you? Empty 3G pistol...what say you?

I just entered my first 3G with my 1911. Needless to say, the power was good for first shot drop of the steel action targets, but the capcity 8+1 of the Taurus 1911 made my time(s) horrendous. (I promise it wasn't me...it was the equipment!!! Laughing ...again...sarcasm) I have a G19 9mm, however I don't like the snap in the recoil of a poly-frame. I have been looking at the 2011's but I don't have that kind of cash to drop on a pistol I will use once, maybe twice a month.
Soo, any advice out there in intra-net land?

If you like 1911's but need more capacity, The double stack Para's are pretty decent.

Or....get to liking your Glock a bit more. Very Happy

When I went I used 10 round mags in my 1911. Its all about learning to reload and planning the stage out before you shoot it.
