Buying Primers
Hope this is the right place for this and not in the Swap & Shop.
Would like to know the best place to get bulk primers. I am looking at buying 5000 small pistol. Would prefer to stay with CCI or one of the better known brands and not go with the Russian made primers.
I am looking for the best price including Hazardous Shipping Fees.
Just wondering if anyone has found a hidden treasure out there beyond the first few pages of a search.

Re: Buying Primers
Wideners has CCI primers ranging from $23.50(SR) to about $29.00 (LP)per 1000
Not bad for an everyday price...

Re: Buying Primers
Generally I buy whatever I can find on sale but PowderValley http://www.powdervalleyinc.com/ has had the best prices day to day that I have seen.
Their website states $27.50 for Hazardous shipping, and "Our typical shipping charges are based on the subtotal of your order. Subtotal <$150.00, shipping $9.95; <$300.00, $13.95; <$600.00, $15.95; >$600, $19.95.". They also charge insurance that is .50 per $100.

Re: Buying Primers
Seems to me that if you are only (haha, only) buying 5000 primers, that it wouldn't be worth the price you will have to pay for the hazmat fee. I get my CCI 300 large pistol primers locally for $30-$32 for 1000. If you find them online for $27, that is a maximum savings of $5 per brick. You buy 5 bricks, that's $25, but then you also have to add in shipping of $10 and hazmat fee of $27.
5000 locally = $160
5000 online = $135 + 27 + 10 = $172
5000 locally = $160
5000 online = $135 + 27 + 10 = $172

Re: Buying Primers
Powder Valley does look cheaper than Grafs.
Grafs is $129.99 for 5000 according to this:
http://www.grafs.com/retail/catalog/category/categoryId/3504?
And Powder Valley is 24 * 5 = $120 for 5000 according to this:
