45 colt molds
hey guys iv got some 452 molds i use for 45 acp i was wondering will these work safely in a 45 colt the dia in the colt is 452 jacketed and 454 lead i cant see that would hurt but i figured i get a 2nd opionion

.452 should be just fine in a 45 long colt. Go for it!

good! i dont want to jenks it but im hopefully getting a 45 COLT soon im gonna get the super comanche assuming there still in stock when i get the funds waiting on my tax money and waiting to get my dealers ffl papers!

Molds intended for .45 ACP won't have a crimp groove, which may or may not be a problem in your .45 Colt revolver. You can always taper crimp the revolver rounds, which should work unless you're loading 'barn-burners.'

il probably use the factory crimp die! will 45 colt rounds need a gas check?? al the molds iv seen specified for 45 colt have a check base!

You dont "Need" a gas check. But they do make life easier

This would be a good 45 colt bullet that doesn't use a gas check.

not to expensive. Looks like you can either tumble lube it or run it through a lube sizer. and I would try to use it as dropped.
