Right now beggars can't be choosers. I get them where ever I can. I've been out of small pistol primers for months now. If anyone has a source that has them in stock please post it.

I haven't seen many at all lately. I plan on making a trip to the Rock House Trading Post in Meridian next week. If I find some I will let you know.

Re: Primers 2013
I tend to agree that only buying a sleeve (5000) is not worth the hazmat fee. Now if you were to add powder and more primers it would be worth it.
I was looking to get in on a group buy locally and when it was all said and done it was cheaper to buy local. If memory serves me correct the primers were about 1 to 2.00 less per 1000 and the powder was about the same per lb.
With the shortages the way they are, it may be your best bet to go to a local supplier and ask them to order them for you. Even if you have to put money down. The last time I bought a sleeve of LP primers it cost me $163.65 out the door tax included, that was back in the end of January. Now most places around here are limiting you to 1000 of each type of in stock primers.

I would pay $35.00 a thousand as long as that is the final price. Just before the madness started I payed $34.00 a thousand for 5000 delivered to the door.

Re: Primers 2013
I guess since I got mine. I can share this. Friend Powder valley on face book and when they get in shipments they will let you know what they have. ORDER PRONTO. It will probably still take you a couple months to get what you order. Yes they are that far backed up. But you will get it at reasonable prices. I got 10 pounds of IMR4350 and then ordered a few thousand Large Rifle primers. They didnt have them long so you have to order when you see it but they do let you know It beats paying extortion prices and if your patient you will get what you need.
