The ATI GSG 1911 22lr is supposed to be 80% compatible with all 1911's

Re: all things 1911
I'm not sure if a clip would work in a 1911?? May work in an M1 Garand maybe. But I am sure you could find magazines that would work much better in 1911's!!!
Sorry Dart, just busting your chops!! I know what you meant... I seen a chance to rib ya and had to go for it!! LOL....
Truth be known, I have called them Clips as well and I am sure if your ever in a situation being an officer, military or just out with your buds and a drive by happens, you yell out hey toss me a clip, you will get what you need...

Hmmm that would make a good post all in it's own. But really, no one here is going to cane or bullwhip you over which term you are to use. If they do, then they need something better to gripe about and move on LOL...

Re: all things 1911
I have a LLama minimax sub-compact. 45acp. it hold 10 rounds in a doublestack mag. It works good and is reliable....I did have to replace the extractor once and it was not fun trying to find the replacement part. LLama's are lacking in the machining department....a lot of the parts have machine marks or you can tell where they took a grinder to the edge of something. Not a perfectly symmetrical weapon either...another machining problem.
They look good at 5+ feet away and function fine....just not the prettiest pistol you'll ever see.
I added a pic of mine to the gun collection thread...take a look.

Re: all things 1911
Dart, I had a Llama in the 40 cal and I loved everything about it, the feel, the way it shot, everything - except that it had a feed problem with the mag. I fiddled with it and never did get it straighrened out and was not able to find a replacement. Believe me I looked too 'cause it was a sweet little shooter. I finally gave up and traded it in on a Taurus 24/7 in 40 cal. The Taurus is a good pistol but I sure wish I could have found some magazines for the Llama.

Re: all things 1911
Not 100% sure that there is not something out there that would work - I just couldn't find one. I actually made a mag - ordered the piano wire to make the spring and all - that worked as good as the one that came with the pistol - but was still half reliable at best. If I could have got that fixed though, it would be my carry piece. If you had a way to run a couple of mags of ammo throug the one you found and it was reliable, I would definately recommend.

At I gun show I saw a sign that said "Clips" at a booth. They sold mags of course. I asked them why their sign said "Clips" instead of "Magazines". They told they tried having one that said "Magazines" and everybody kept asking them for "Guns and Ammo" to read.
