Remember the old revolvers? The ones with the tab on the actual hammer itself? Those are BAD to dry fire. Other than that, I have never seen, or had any damage from dry firing a weapon. I'm curious if it is just that the designs of the guns have changed, but the people saying "don't dry fire" are still stuck in the "old ways" (i bet that riles a few of the elders up )
