Tracer ammo.... Let's discuss it!
I found these
http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/AMM053-1.html
In a video HERE
Impressed, I decided that these would be good for my well being.
My question- Can a person get his hands on similar stuff for... say... a 44 magnum?
Can these be made, purchased, or otherwise acquired? Are there any legality woes to consider? I'll research that.
Ideally, I'd buy some bullets that were designed as incendiary tracers and load them myself.
I'm interested in your opinions

Just scroll down the page to the section that sells for 8 bucks tracer compound that you mix together and make your own tracer.
Great website. I plan on ordering me some up here in the next few days hopefully...

Tracers are good for fun....
problems I have found with tracers are....they don't follow the same path as non tracer bullets, it has to be at least dusk to see them and the thought of all the burned tracer residue in my barrel makes my stomach turn.
Most tracers burn out the tail end of the bullet....it looks like those 22's burn from the tip? or are those the impact exploders?
I hollowed out a 50cal tracer bullet and got a pretty decent sized pile or material. enough to do a few small rifle or handgun bullets.
if you find a deal on some pulled or damaged 50cal tracer bullets, you could scavenge the tracer powder out of them and then resell them as a novelty or back fill them with lead. The 50 cal tracer bullets are solid copper with a hollow base. just a thought...
