Looks like it was meant to compete with the Walther P22.

Anybody seen anything else new for 2012?

I've seen a lot of people compare the new Ruger pistol to the Walther P22.

I have a P22 and I like it a lot. I would like to shoot one of the Ruger pistols to compare.

Next time I am at my range I want to see if they have one (Ruger) that I can borrow to compare.

I could never get over the placement of the magazine release on the Walthers. They look cool, feel comfortable, but the magazine release is in a really difficult to use position IMO.

Yes that is one of the problems with the P22. I hate where the magazine ejector button is. I always have to lower the weapon and use my non-dominant hand to hit the eject lever on the P22.

I do like the magazine release button better on the Ruger from looking at it. I want to shoot one to see how it feels.

It looks like a nice gun and TNoutdoors does a review video of it on youtube. I prefer the Walther style magazine release.
