Bulge 223 brass
I bought 1000 rounds of once fired 223 brass that has a bulge about 1/8 above the rim. They will not fit in to my no go Gage. Does any one know what I need to do to remove the bulge? I have adj my die and that did not help. LEE does not make a bulge buster for the 223. I think this brass came from a submachine gun.

Re: Bulge 223 brass
I personally have never seen a bulge above the rim on a 223 case and I've done lots of them. I also don't reload 223 for bolt though, the AR platforms are probably more forgiving with a bulge.
My only other thought is, especially if they were fired from a MG, is that the bulge might be a sign of early case head separation.

Re: Bulge 223 brass
Well they was all LC brass. Well I have found a way to fit that. I took my 380 die apart and ran the 223 brass in it and all is well. I also ran the one's I had loaded and all is OK there now. Now to try to get some shooting done between rains. THANKS for the come back
