Got some new glass for the Savage
Finally put some glass on the Savage 12fv. It's a Mueller 8-32x44 target dot. Mounted on DNZ gamereaper base.
I still have some bedding work to do on the stock...But I have to shoot this baby sooner or later...I'm guessing sooner

Re: Got some new glass for the Savage
Well, I made it to the range yesterday. We had 30+ mph wind gusts, so the range was like a wind tunnel....and the wind was never from the same direction. I still put about 50 rounds through it to break the barrel in and ended up with fairly decent groups considering.
I brought the camera to film....but it kept blowing over, so I put it away while it was still working. Heck, even the 50 yard target board blew over while I was there and it didn't take 5 minutes after I got there to loose my large mug of coffee off the table and onto the ground....
The next trip will have to better...it couldn't get much worse,LOL.
The plus side? First shoot out of a cold barrel and non-bore sighted scope was only off about 2" to the right and 4" high. So it didn't take much adjusting to get the scope somewhat zeroed.
