Maximum Point Blank Range....
Has anyone got any information on Maximum Point Blank Range of the .222REM... Have read about it in books but have no information on the .222REM other than comparing it to the information on the .223REM which may work but I am not sure... I would like to improve my accuracy when it comes to me hunting long range targets..

im not sure what you mean by Maximum point blank range. Here in the states Point blank range is at the muzzle. Do you mean Maximum effective range?

If you sight in at 150yrds then there is not much change from 50-150 yrds. You will have about a 2" drop at 200yrds. If you are zero'd at 200 yrds you will be about 1.5-2" high from 50-150yrds and about 3.5" low at 250. This is with a 50grn bullet moving at about 3100fps at the muzzle. If you are just fox and rabbit hunting you may want to use a 150yrd zero to be good out to 200yrds.

MPBR is basically the farthest distance you can shoot your rifle and stay within a certain target area. For example lets say you want to keep your rounds within a certain measurement up and down like 6". What is the max yardage you can sight your rifle in at without the bullet ever flying above the 6" circle and without it hitting below the 6" circle. Almost like if you were shooting through a 6" pipe and you didnt want the bullet to touch the top or bottom of the pipe before hitting the target. This all depends on how big you want for a target area.
