Collet bullet pullers leave marks?

Looking at getting a Hornady collet type bullet puller. I know they work...but do they leave marks on the pulled bullets? I've broke one kinetic puller now...I'd not like to do that again if I can help it. It will mainly be ussed for 223's...since their isn't a whole lot of weight in those bullets for the kinetic puller to work efficiently.

some times yes they will other times no they dont It all depends on how much you have to crank down on them to get the to grip and pull the bullet I have an RCBS and the Hornady ... Like em both. I also have a hammer type but it has its downfalls too.

Well, I have a Hornady collet type bullet puller on the way with collets for 223,6.5mm, 308 and 9mm/357

I like my collet style better then my Hammer. Both are RCBS.

I love my Hornady puller. Sometimes they do leave a mark and sometimes they don't as Reload stated. However, marks doesn't really hurt the bullets unless your really into cosmetics. At least it never hurt the accuracy of the bullets I have pulled.

I have the Hornady puller with 4 different collets in my shopping cart at Midway......gonna have to wait 'til next paycheck though. Midway had better send me a Christmas card this year...jeez!!
