Target stand blue print
What do you use at the range? Does it break down a solid unit? Can you put stuff on it?

Re: Target stand blue print
For Pistol, I have a stand made out of PVC, a Rectangle Top and a square base. I then attach cardboard to the frame and my targets...
I have a cheap o from walmart, you stick it in the ground and then hange carb board for backing and then your target. I use it for my grendel. I can place 6 index cards on it with the small red sticker dots and that is what I use to do load development at 100 yards....

I make reactionary steel targets that are a modular design and can be broken down.

Re: Target stand blue print
the range I go to uses realtor and politician signs for backing stapled to 2 pieces of wood that are mounted in metal posts. to attach my paper target I use golf tees since they are cheap, reusable, and hold the target better than staples IMO. they also remove easier so I don't end up ripping my targets

Plus 1 for politician signs, and they just all happen to be Democrat. Just by chance. I tape used office printer paper to the signs with a drawn on bull’s-eyes. Super high-tech. I also made a frame out of angle iron that holds a ½” plate. My stupid Mosin still blows holes through it.

Re: Target stand blue print
while I agree with politician signs being used as targets/target holders. Use caution when appropriating them there was a politician in the St. Louis area who is going to prison for stealing Politician signs.

Re: Target stand blue print
While everyone was on the staplegun isle, I was a couple of isles over getting the duct tape. I usually just tape a piece of copy paper (hmmmm, that drawn on bullseye sounds familar too) to a piece of plywood or tin - whatever is handy. One time though my son had given me a pack of the shoot-n-see targets for Christmas. He-he, they didn't last long......

Re: Target stand blue print
I just remembered. I was at walmart the other day looking around. They have some plinking targets, orange in color, self healers for calibers bigger than a .22. you shoot it and it spins and self heals for more shooting. Great for pistols and rifles and if I remember right less than 20 bucks.. Thinking of getting one for myself. Just don't think you can use hp as it will cause a bigger hole in them..

I definitely will if there is an interest. I have been kicking the idea around for awhile. I can make custom targets to order.RichBirdHunter wrote:Pathfinder wrote:I make reactionary steel targets that are a modular design and can be broken down.
